Life Update!

For those of you who wagered that the first ring I would ever wear would be a replica 2024-25 Celtics championship ring, I’ve got some bad news for you. It was in my Amazon cart but they were out of stock. So instead, ya boy just got hitched to his beautiful wife (WHAT?!) in the lovely state of Maine and has his grandfather’s ring as proof.

Once the ceremony was complete, people kept asking me when we were gonna go on our honeymoon. Tomorrow? Monday? Next week? To them I asked one simple question in reply, “Do you know what happens on August 23rd?”

I know you do. In less than 2 weeks, our beautiful sport returns to Dublin, Ireland in a ranked battle between the Iowa State Cyclones and the Kansas State Wildcats. So when am I going on my honeymoon? After the college football season of course. Because right now it’s time to get down to business, do some research and get to picking some locks.

NCAA College Football Locks is back!

For those of you looking for a season preview today, you will have to wait a week. This email is all about getting you reacclimated to the game and ready to set your picks. Luckily for you, nothing really has changed about this year’s contest. The rules, format and scoring all remain the same from last year. The only difference is that you will have 2(!) ways to view the weekly updates. I will continue to send out this email in addition to updating a new blog I have set up at www.sportswrighting.com. I figured I’ve spent so many hours writing this email, why not make it harder and try to make it into a website. Please give it a look and let me know your thoughts!

Now onto the important stuff. If you want to join again this year, please message me and send me $20 (venmo is @joshwrightstp13.) I will then go ahead and create your own tab for you to fill out in this spreadsheet. I hope everyone joins again as this is one of my favorite things to do. I also want to emphasize if you know anyone else that might be interested in joining, please send them my way. If you do join, you will have until Saturday, August 23rd at 12:00p to make your picks.
